Carmelite Guild

In its early years, St. Joseph Nursing Home discovered the need to have others support and share in this ministry to the elderly. As a result of this need, the Carmelite Guild was born.
This group of dedicated volunteers use compassion, care, and concern to continuously improve the quality of life for our residents.
Carmelite Guild Members offer service to the Activities Department by assisting with
-
birthdays,
-
parties,
-
leisure time activities
-
and manicures.
Carmelite Guild Members serve as:
- resident transport to Mass, social events, beauty parlor/barber shop
- resident escorts to outside activities (i.e. to the casino, the mall, etc.)
- clerical assistance to the Development Office (mailings, picture taking, etc.)
Carmelite Guild Members also use their skills in assisting with the planning and implementation of events of St. Joseph Nursing Home. These events include:
- the Celebration of Excellence Brunch
- Christmas Craft Fair
- Summer Bazaar, etc.
How do I get involved?
For information about the Carmelite Guild, call the Activities Department at 315-797-1230.
If you sew, we need your help with our "Bedspread Project."
It involves putting a hem in new, lightweight bedspreads.
If interested, call Sr. Patricia at
315-797-1230.
Remember…..Volunteers give from the Heart.
Take a moment to call and pledge to help our elders!
